Generalised Anxiety

Worry that attaches itself to everything — health, work, family, the future. CBT offers proven tools to break the cycle.

What it is

Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) involves persistent, excessive worry across many areas of life. The worry often feels uncontrollable and is accompanied by tension, fatigue, irritability and poor concentration.

How CBT helps

CBT for GAD targets the beliefs that keep worry going — such as 'worrying keeps me safe' or 'I can't cope with uncertainty'. We build your tolerance of uncertainty and replace unhelpful worry habits with practical problem-solving.

What therapy looks like

We will track your worry patterns, learn to distinguish productive from unproductive worry, and practise techniques such as worry postponement, relaxation and behavioural experiments.

When to seek help

If worry feels constant, exhausting and out of proportion to events — and has lasted six months or more — structured support can make a significant difference.

Not sure whether this fits what you're experiencing? That's completely normal — many difficulties overlap. Get in touch for a no-obligation chat.
